Loubel Cruz Galik is a Senior Consultant at Sterling Associates and uses her versatile and extensive experience to help clients grow and improve their organizations’ development needs through capital campaigns, major donor cultivation, special events and strategic planning.

After starting her career as an education writer at the Houston Chronicle, Loubel spent 12 years at Pink Ribbons Project, in motion against breast cancer, serving as a Grants Writer, Education Manager, Associate Director and ultimately as Executive Director for three years.   During her time there, Loubel was instrumental in helping triple its annual budget, which allowed Pink Ribbons Project to expand its vision to use the arts to promote breast health and to build outreach initiatives and awareness programs.

Loubel holds a B.A. in American Studies and Journalism from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in Communications from the University of Houston. She serves as Volunteer Executive Director of Suites of Hope a local nonprofit that provides affordable housing for breast cancer patients who travel to Houston for treatment in a clinical trial and is also on the Board of Directors the Association of Fundraising Professionals Houston.

She and her husband, Al, live in Rice Military and she hopes to get a dog or two very soon.  She is the godmother to five of the most brilliant children on the planet and enjoys travels and adventures around the world, pretending to run around Memorial Park, cheering on her Astros and soaking in the arts, diversity, food and people of her beloved Houston.
